How to purchase PT

The carrier or identifier of the subscription ticket is a contactless smart card.

  • non-transferable subscription tickets are basic and discounted and are issued on non-transferable BČK (BČK with a photo), non-transferable PCL is tied to the holder’s name and only the BČK holder can use the PCL
  • portable subscription tickets are issued on portable BČK (BČK without a photo), portable PCL is not tied to the holder’s name, it can be used by multiple people, a maximum of 1 person can travel on it on one trip

A pre-paid ticket can be purchased:

  • at points of sale of SAD ZA, DPMŽ, DPMM, ARRIVA Liorbus, Umbrella City Lines SK and at personal cash desks of ZSSK,
  • via the eShop of the carriers SAD ZA, DPMŽ and ZSSK, DPMM, ARRIVA Liorbus, Umbrella City Lines SK. Purchase via the eShop is possible only via the eShop of the carrier with which the BČK was issued. The first purchase of PCL via the eShop is made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the specific carrier. Purchase with a BČK issued by a third party (ISIC student cards) is governed by the terms and conditions of the specific carrier.
  • on SAD ZA and ARRIVA Liorbus trains or buses – only repeat sales are possible directly on the bus from the driver, which means that the passenger can only purchase a pre-paid ticket from the driver with the same zone and time validity as the one previously purchased on the card.
  • via the IDS PLUS mobile application. The application is available for smartphones:

Single-use tickets for the tariff area of ​​the city of Žilina (zone 100) are sold:

  • at points of sale:
    • DPMŽ with effect from the date of the DPMŽ marking in the vehicle,
    • ZSSK valid from the date of purchase,
  • in DPMŽ machines with validity starting from the DPMŽ sign in the vehicle,
  • in vehicles:
    • SAD ZA and ARRIVA Liorbus with validity starting from the date of purchase,
    • DPMŽ in ticket markers with validity starting from the date of purchase,
    • on ZSSK trains, valid from the date of purchase.

Single-use tickets for the tariff area of ​​the city of Martin (zone 300) are sold:

  • at ZSSK points of sale with validity starting from the date of purchase
  • in DPMM, SAD ZA, ARRIVA Liorbus vehicles and ZSSK trains with validity starting from the date of purchase

Single-use tickets for the Liptovský Mikuláš tariff area (zone 500) are sold:

  • at ZSSK points of sale with validity starting from the date of purchase
  • in ARRIVA Liorbus vehicles and ZSSK trains, valid from the date of purchase

Single-use tickets for the tariff area of ​​the city of Dolný Kubín (zone 600) are sold:

  • at ZSSK points of sale with validity starting from the date of purchase
  • in ARRIVA Liorbus vehicles and ZSSK trains, valid from the date of purchase

Single-use tickets for the tariff area CITY OF Ružomberok (zone 400) are sold:

  • at ZSSK points of sale with validity starting from the date of purchase
  • in ARRIVA Liorbus and Umbrella City Lines SK vehicles

Daily tickets are sold:

  • at points of sale:
    • SAD ZA valid from the date of purchase
    • ZSSK valid from the date of purchase
    • DPMM valid from the date of purchase
    • ARRIVA Liorbus valid from the date of purchase
  • in DPMŽ machines with validity starting from the DPMŽ marking in the vehicle
  • in vehicles:
    • SAD ZA and ARRIVA Liorbus valid from the date of purchase
    • DPMŽ in ticket markers (except network tickets) with validity starting from the date of purchase
    • ZSSK valid from the date of purchase
    • DPMM valid from the date of purchase

Import tickets are sold:

  • at points of sale:
    • DPMŽ with effect from the date of the DPMŽ marking in the vehicle
    • ZSSK valid from the date of purchase
  • in DPMŽ machines with validity starting from the DPMŽ marking in the vehicle
  • in vehicles:
    • SAD ZA and ARRIVA Liorbus valid from the date of purchase
    • DPMŽ in ticket markers with validity starting from the date of purchase
    • ZSSK valid from the date of purchase
    • DPMM valid from the date of purchase
